# Boat lift load worksheet

Add documented boat and carried loads in a single unit. Use the result as a question for your lift supplier. This worksheet cannot choose or approve a lift.

Use the tool on the [web page](https://privatedock.fyi/tools/boat-lift-load). It works without JavaScript.

## How to use it

1. Enter documented base boat weight.
2. Enter engines not included in base weight.
3. Enter fuel, water and other liquids not included.
4. Enter batteries, equipment and gear not included.
5. Read the result.

## How it works

Use kilograms for every field. Obtain each weight from boat documents, the manufacturer or a measured load. If a weight is already included in the boat figure, leave its separate field at zero.

Formula: documented boat weight plus engines, liquids and gear not already included. The calculator applies no capacity multiplier and no fuel-density assumption. It is a sum, not an engineering rule.

Source context: ShoreStation, https://www.shorestation.com/, and ShoreMaster, https://www.shoremaster.com/, fetched 2026-10-29. Their product families require model-specific selection. Ask the supplier to confirm capacity, hull support, load distribution, water depth and site suitability in writing.

> Not a lift specification. Unknown loads entered as zero understate the total. A qualified supplier must confirm a safe system for the boat and site.

## Questions

### Does the result give the required lift capacity?

No. Missing loads, hull support, balance and model limits require supplier review. Do not select a lift from this sum alone.

### Should I enter dry weight or loaded weight?

Use a documented base weight, then add only loads it excludes. Ask the boat builder to clarify what its weight figure includes.
